Dealing with the female figure, as expressed in my work, began with a sculpture of a female nude model.

The young woman before me was beautiful and well endowed. She was, however, well proportioned, emanating a strong sense of mother earth, which overwhelmed me. I thus began the series of woman who preoccupied me for quite a few years.​

In my first works, my woman was essentially heavy, down to earth.​

Little by little, she grew finer, and even began to dance in ballet steps. Then came the abstraction, the decomposition, the stylization, and the minimalism, which bared the female symbol, at the same time sexually and motherly.
